Korean nationals will be able to visit Macao more conveniently by using Macao’s automated immigration clearance service from December 28, 2016.

 

The Ministry of Justice, Republic of Korea and the Macao Special Administrative Region have announced the implementation of mutual use of automated immigration clearance services.

 

Koreans who wish to participate in this service must be 11 years old or older, and hold a Korean passport which is valid for at least 30 days. Before using the service, eligible users need to complete a registration process such as providing fingerprints and taking a photo at the enrolment centers in the Macao International Airport or ferry terminals.

 

After successful enrolment, Koreans may use the automated immigration clearance service from the day of enrolment up to 30 days before his/her passport expiry date.

 

(In cases of changes in passport information such as passport renewal or name change, re-registration is necessary.)
